Talisk is a British band that was formed in 2014 in Glasgow, Glasgow City, Scotland, United Kingdom. The founding members of the group were the trio Hayley Keenan (fiddler), Craig Irving (guitarist) and Mohsen Amini (concertina player).
Talisk is famous for their multi-award winning 2016 debut album Abyss. The album was nominated for the Album of the Year at the 2016 MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards. Shortly after their formation in 2014 they started winning awards like the Danny Kyle Award at the Celtic Connections festivals and also the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 2015. Some of their other full length efforts include 2018’s Beyond and 2022’s Dawn. The group also appeared on the 2018 multi-artist collaboration album The Rough Guide to Scottish Folk.
