Steve Benthin is a German bodybuilder, born on February 17, 1982, in Schwerin, Germany. He received his International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB) Procard by winning the International German Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships of the DBFV in November 2011. He played football and boxing as a child and started training in a gym for the first time when he was 13.

In his first competition season in 2002, under the supervision of Olaf Godedarov, Steve immediately became the overall winner of the German Junior Championships. With around 20 years of active competition, Steve is one of the veterans of the sport. In 2019, he competed in the 212 class at Mr. Olympia. In 2020, he started the Hans Hoffmann project, which features easy-to-digest content such as reaction videos or eating competitions. His role models are Kevin Levrone, Dorian Yates, Kai Greene, and Dennis Wolf.
