Sondre Lerche is a Norwegian vocalist, pianist, and composer, who was born on September 5th, 1982 in the city of Bergen, Norway. During his younger years, he studied the guitar and honed his skills in both the classical and Bossa Nova musical traditions. At the age of fourteen, he penned the lyrics to his first song, which was titled "Locust Girl". Today, Sondre is known for her albums such as Faces Down, Heartbeat Radio, and Phantom Punch. He was awarded the prize for Best New Act at the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy Awards for his work. His 2004 CD, Two Way Monologue, was praised by critics for how well it blended different kinds of music. Additionally, he is the cousin of Lars Vaular, a successful rapper.
