Singer Sevyn Streeter was born Amber Denise Streeter on July 7, 1986, in Haines City, Florida. As a young girl, she would sing in church and would frequently participate in talent shows. She and her cousins formed a gospel group that they named Voices of Praise, yet Sevyn Streeter later joined a girl group at the age of 15, called TG4. The group released a few singles in the early 2000s, yet after they parted ways, Sevyn Streeter was signed to Jive Records in 2007. She released her debut single “I Like It” in 2012, which she followed with “It Won’t Stop” in the Spring of 2013. The remix of the song, put out a few months after, featured vocals from Chris Brown. Sevyn Streeter eventually released her debut EP, named Call Me Crazy, But … in December of 2013. In addition to a successful music career, she has also had the opportunity to write songs for other notable artists, including for Brandy, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and many others.
