Singer/songwriter Miriam Melanie Bryant was born on March 8, 1991, in Gothenburg, Sweden. She began writing songs with a friend when she was just 20 years old, finding in herself a passion for music that originally stemmed from her musically-inclined parents. The friend eventually helped her produce her debut single “Finders, Keepers”, which appeared in March 2012 on the 100Songs label. Shortly after, she was lauded by MTV as their “Artist of the Week”, and has been called the next Adele.
Before gaining popularity in the United States, Miriam Bryant got big on German radio, and eventually caught the ear of music producer DJ Zedd. He went on to remix her song “Push Play”, and the two thereafter shot a music video for the single. The song was later released in the United States in 2013, her debut in the country. Her debut album came out in 2013 and was entitled Raised in Rain, which shot to the #12 slot on the Swedish charts.
