Maxim Alexandrovich Galkin

Maxim Alexandrovich Galkin (born June 18, 1976 in Naro-Fominsk Raion, Moscow) is a Russian comedian, television presenter, and singer. He was the host of the Russian version of "Who wants to be a millionaire?" from 2001 to 2008.

While in university, Galkin appeared in KVN (1961), the Russian youth stand-up comedy competition. He first rose to prominence for his celebrity impersonations and duets with the famous Russian pop singer Alla Pugacheva and Ani Lorak. In 2010, he was one of the few comedians performing a light-hearted impression of President Vladimir Putin, on Russia's Channel One TV channel.

On December 31, 2013, Galkin and the renowned Ukrainian comedian Volodymyr Zelenskyy performed together in a traditional New Year's program called “Little Blue Light” on the Russia-1 TV channel. After November 2016, Galkin hosted a children's talent show on TV "Best of all", until mid-2017. In March 2022, Galkin left Russia following the Russian invasion of Ukraine and was subsequently listed as a foreign agent by the Russian government.
