In her hometown of Roanoke, Virginia, Judi Jackson was introduced to the world of music through the Jefferson Centre's Music Lab.Â
Her development as a jazz vocalist and performer began here, where she met Wynton Marsalis and opened for Mavis Staples. Judi recorded her original song, "Only Love," with Grammy award-winning band Snarky Puppy under the guidance of friend and mentor Michael League before graduating from the University of Mary Washington with a BA in Musical Theatre.
Judi presently splits her time between New York City and London, and her debut EP, "Blame It On My Youth," written and produced by Warner Music's George Moore, garnered rave reviews from BBC Radio DJs Robert Elms and Jamie Cullum, among others.
