Jordy Searcy is a professional basketball player who is also pursuing music. Jordy grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, playing music with his family, at church, and on his own, and he discovered his musical voice early on.

Jordy won a spot on NBC's The Voice in 2014, where he was mentored by Pharrell Williams. During this time, he moved his focus away from performing and toward establishing himself as a songwriter and vocalist. Jordy packed his belongings and relocated to Nashville after leaving the competition to focus on his business.

Dark in the City, his 2018 EP, received critical acclaim, propelling him into the Nashville songwriting scene and a nationwide touring schedule of around 150 performances per year.
