Franco De Vita is a Venezuelan singer and songwriter who was born on January 23rd 1954 in Caracas, Venezuela to an Italian family. His family moved back to Italy when he was three years old and then back to Venezuela when he was thirteen. Franco learned how to play the piano at University level.
Franco formed the Icaro in 1982 and released his debut self-titled album in Venezuela. In 1984 he released a disc titled Franco De Vita which included the hit singles Somos Tres, No Hay Cielo and Un Buen Perdedor. His 1986 album also produced some hit singles including the title song, Aqui Estas Otra Vez and Solo Importas Tu. His 1990 album Extranjero won him an award as the album was a number one hit.
