Anis Mohamed Youssef Ferchichi (popularly known as Bushido) is a German rapper, singer, and actor who was born on September 28th, 1978 in Bonn, Germany.
Bushido and his fellow rapper D-Bo founded the label ersguterjunge in 2004, a year after the release of his debut album Vom Bordstein bis zur Skyline. In 2005 he dropped Von der Skyline zum Bordstein Zurück (From the Skyline Back to the Curb). He released the album Jenseits von Gut und Böse (Beyond Good and Evil) and in 2012 AMYF followed. He released the collaborative album 23 with Sido which was a big hit, peaking at #3 on the German albums chart. AMYF also topped German and Swiss charts. Sony Black later followed in 2014 and it peaked at #1 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In 2017, Black Friday was released and Bushido featured guest artists like AK Ausserkontrolle, Shindy and Fler.
As an actor and composer, Bushido is best known for Time You Change (2010), Bushido feat. Joka: Theorie und Praxis (2012) and Bushido: King Sonny Black (2021). Bushido won an ECHO Award for Best Live Act in 2006 and Best Hip Hop/R&B Artist National in 2007 as his albums Vom der Skyline zum Bordstein und zurück and 7 were certified Platinum.
