Austin Rivers is a professional basketball player from the United States, who was born on August 1st, 1992, in Santa Monica, California. He received his secondary education in Winter Park, and during his time as a student at Duke University, he played basketball on the squad known as the Duke Blue Devils. After graduating, he was picked up by the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association. After playing guard for the Pelicans for a total of three seasons, he was picked up by the Los Angeles Clippers, where his father, Doc Rivers, was the head coach at the time. During the course of his career, he was a member of a number of different teams, including the Pelicans, Clippers, Wizards, Rockets, and Knicks, among others. Moreover, Austin was named the Naismith Prep Player of the Year.
