Ape Drums, born on June 28th, 1992 in Houston, Texas is an American DJ and electronic music producer based in the U.S. Ape Drums fell in love with the dancehall genre at the age of 8. By the age of 15 he began to DJ and produce his own music. He has made a name for himself in the electronic music scene by mixing unique dancehall rhythms and the big room genre. He broke out in 2013 with the single “Worl’ Boss” featuring Vybz Kartel. 2014 brought Ape Drums another huge club hit in the form of the song “Bashment” released through DJ Craze & Kill The Noise’s Slow Roast Records. In the same year he remixed Skrillex’s song “Recess” to much critical acclaim. He has garnered support from artists such as Major Lazer, Flosstradamus, and Dillon Francis.
