Ángela María Ponce Camacho (born January 18, 1991, in Seville, Spain) is a Spanish model and beauty pageant titleholder. In 2018, Ponce made history by becoming the first openly transgender woman to be crowned Miss Universe Spain.
Before winning the national Miss Universe title, Ponce competed in several local and regional pageants in Spain. In 2015, she won the title of Miss World Cadiz, qualifying her to compete at the Miss World Spain pageant that same year, though she did not place.
Ponce entered the Miss Universe Spain pageant three years later and won the coveted title on June 29, 2018. Her victory was monumental, paving the way for transgender visibility and inclusion in the pageant world. Later that year, she represented Spain at the Miss Universe 2018 competition in Bangkok, becoming the pageant's first openly transgender contestant. Though she did not advance to the Miss Universe finals, Ponce's participation was an important milestone.
