Akdong Musicians (also known as AKMU) is a Korean music band formed in 2012 in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi, Seoul, South Korea. The group was formed by two siblings Lee Chan-hyuk (vocals, guitar, rap), Lee Soo Hyun (vocals, rap),

The duo hit the first place spot of K Pop Star 2 in 2012. That success brought them more exposure and fame and landed a record deal with YG Entertainment. Two years later (in 2014) they released their debut full-length album Play, which was an instant hit.

AKMU released their six-song EP in 2016 Spring which was hugely received by their fans. Their second studio album Winter appeared in January the next year. Later in 2017, the duo released another hit Dinosaur. The group then released their third album Sailing in 2019. Some of their singles include Time and Fallen Leaves (2014), Summer Episode (2017), and Happening (2020).
