Tieks is the stage name of Dan Gresham, a British electronic music DJ, producer and musician. He was born on the 23rd of August, 1976, in Cambridge, England. Gresham started producing music as a teenager, mixing his favorite songs and experimenting with beats. He began his professional career in London’s deep house scene, around the late 2000s, heavily influenced by artists such as David Bowie and Nile Rodgers. In 2014, Gresham released the single “Sing That Song” which was a hit, managing to enter the U.K. Top 100. The single was a collaboration between Uzoechi Emenike, Mark Tieku, and Celeste Waite. In 2016, he released the single “Sunshine” featuring a collaboration with singer Dan Harkna through Ministry of Sound.
