He began his career as a bass player and was part of a band called No Curfew as a teenager. He later joined his brother in a band called Suicidal Tendencies. He is on three albums with Suicidal Tendencies: Year of the Cycos, No Mercy Fool!/The Suicidal Family, and 13.

The majority of his career has been spent collaborating with other singers and bands.
