The Ongoing Concept is an eclectic Christian metalcore band formed in Rathdrum, Idaho in 2010, by Scholz brothers Dawson, Kyle, and Parker. In 2010 and 2011 respectively they released two independent EP’s under the name “What is My Destiny” and “Arrow Before Bullets”, before signing with Solid State records. Their first full-length album “Saloon” went out in 2013, got good reviews, and also reached the 38th spot on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. Two more studio albums followed, namely “Handmade” (2015) and “Places” (2017). By the time the latter album was recorded, Kyle and Parker had been replaced by Andy Crateau (guitar), Ian Nelson (bass), and Cody Rhodes (drums). The band was also featured on three Solid State’s anthology albums between 2013 and 2016.
