The band was formed with members Ackermann, Jay Space, and Jono Mofo. They have the same sound as the band Skywave, with a more experimental approach.
Under Killer Pimp label, A Place to Bury Strangers released their self-titled debut album in 2007. By 2009, they signed under Mute releasing “Exploding Head.” Their 2012 EP “Onwards to the Wall” was considered to be a darker form of their music.
