Diane Nadia Adu-Gyamfi, better known as Moko, is a British-Ghanaian indie-soul singer. Moko’s career began when she was studying music at Goldsmiths University of London. She was recording music with a producer duo called the Impostors. Moko released two singles in 2013 the first being ‘Summon the Strength’ followed by ‘Hand on Heart’. In the same year as her releases, Moko performed on the online music platform Boiler Room TV with Neneh Cherry and Rocket Number Nine and at the BBC Introducing stage at the Glastonbury Festival. The London based musician went on to feature on dance tracks by producers Chase & Status such as ‘Count on Me’ and ‘Like That’ which hit number 5 on the UK Singles Chart in 2013. Chase & Status signed Moko later on that year to their label MTA Records where she released her debut EP, ‘Black’ followed by another EP, ‘Gold’ in 2014. Moko followed her second EP with her hit single, ‘Your Love’, which has 1.2 million plays and is her most popular song to date.
