Actress, model, and singer Leighton Marissa Meester, born April 9th 1986 in Texas, is best known for her role as the iconic Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. Meester was a hard worker from a young age, attending Professional Children’s School, and diving into modelling and booking commercials. She was in campaigns for Herbal Essences, Vera Wang, Jimmy Choo, and Ralph Lauren. Meester made her acting debut in Law & Order and appeared in Boston Public, Family Affair, Tarzan, 7th Heaven, 24, Veronica Mars, Surface, House M.D., and CSI: Miami. Leighton found success in Gossip Girl, earning nominations and awards for her role in the long-running series. Meester shifted her attention to singing, providing vocals for Cobra Starship’s Good Girls Go Bad, releasing her second single Your Love’s A Drug, and later released her album Heartstrings. Meester continued acting in various roles including Date Night, Going the Distance, Country Strong, Making History, and Single Parents.
