Dreezy, born Seandrea Sledge, is a rapper and singer from the South Side of Chicago. First appearing on a Sasha Go Hard track in 2012, she started making waves through features and collaborations until her debut mixtape, Schizo, was released in 2014. Later that year, she garnered a lot of attention for her remix of the Nicki Minaj and Lil Herb track “Chiraq.” Dropping only day after the original song, her remix was critical of Nicki Minaj’s ability to speak on violence in Chicago, and featured anecdotes of her own upbringing in the South Side. Shortly following the success of “Chiraq,” she signed to Interscope Records, which released her debut EP, From Now On, at the end of 2015. Boasting production from producers Metro Boomin and 808 Mafia, the EP was led by the single “Serena.” Her debut album, No Hard Feelings, is set to drop in July 2016 on Interscope.
