Cloverton is an American contemporary Christian worship band from Manhattan, Kansas. The band consists of Lance Stafford as the lead vocalist and keyboardist, Layne Stafford on bass guitar and background vocals, Kirby LeMoine on drums and Matt Brown as the lead guitarist. Cloverton began performing together in 2009 and in the same year self-released, ‘Cloverton – EP’. In 2011, the band competed and won at the Rock the Camp contest by TobyMac and Camp Electric which put Cloverton on the map. This led to the release of their single under record label Fair Trade Services, ‘Take Me into the Beautiful’ which landed on number 12 on the Christian Billboard Top 25 and hit number 1 most downloaded song in history on KLOVE radio. Furthermore, the band covered Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ which landed on the #1 spot on iTunes and were featured on CNN. Cloverton released one more EP in 2012 through Fair Trade, ‘The End is the Beginning – EP’, before the release of their first debut album, ‘Patterns’ in 2013 under their own label. This was then followed by another EP, ‘We Sing Joy’ in 2014 which hit number 1 for many weeks on iTunes and number 3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums. In 2015, the band gained replacement members Rains Wall on the drums and Conner Giles on guitar after the departure of Kirby Lemoine and newly added guitarist, Josh Svorinic. Cloverton’s second album, ‘Bloom’ was released in 2017 and their latest body of work, ‘Come & Adore’ was released in 2019.
