Overkill is a thrash metal band formed in Old Bridge Township, New Jersey, United States in 1980. The group members are Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth (vocals), Dave Linsk (lead guitar), Carlo D.D. Verni (bass), Jason Bittner (drums), and Derek Tailer (rhythm guitar). The band named themselves after a Motörhead album. Their style is speed/thrash metal and heavy metal. Overkill is one of the most successful metal bands and they are known for their unique metal outfits, dabbing in doom, and industrial style.
