About American Authors
American Authors is an American indie-rock band formed in 2007 in Boston, Massachusetts. Initially called the Blue Pages, it originally consisted of the then-Berklee students Zac Barnett (vocals), James Adam Shelley (guitar/banjo), Dave Rublin (bass), and Matt Sanchez (drums). The group later moved to Brooklyn and in 2012 signed a deal with Island Records. This contract rendered an EP and a single titled “Believer”, and also the band’s first hit “Best Day of My Life”, which became famous on the account of its inclusion in many TV and film commercials, and which ended up securing the 14th spot in Billboards 200. In 2014 the quartet issued their first long-player “Oh, What a Life”, followed two years later by “What We Live For”, their second full-length album. A third album titled “Seasons” came in 2018, preceded by a single in collaboration with Billy Raffoul and another one with Bear Rinehart.
